Science Teacher Enrichment Program
As a part of STEM - Dr. Stuart (Senior fellow Duestacon) along with the science teachers explored a variety of highly challenging hands on activities. These activities fostered scientific inquiry, problem solving and computational & thinking skills, using low cost materials
Students of grades VII & VIII exhibited their work created during the workshop conducted by Ms. Nisha Nair. They envisaged a futuristic society and created art pieces for the same. On the day of display students explained their work to the visitors. The visitors commended the children on their work and their confidence during the presentation. Football camp at Adhiyaman college. Facilitated by Deepak Shivaraman (Michigan Trident Soccer Association USA). A group of 30 students across grades VI, VII & VIII attended the football camp and they participated in matches with teams formed from all the participants across all schools.
Basket ball match
Krishnagiri district International school Basket ball match for girls 7th August. The under 12 an under 14 teams of TVSA represented by girls from grades VI – IX emerged witness of the tournament.
RAIN WATER HARVESTING
Students of grades VIII, IX, & X along with teachers attended a guest lecture on Water Management with a focus on “River Cauvery” facilitated by Mr.Shivakumar. He spoke at length about the need of water management and how our practices go a long way in depleting water resources. He also spoke about some practices that are carried out at the rural level to increase the water table; stringent measures taken by the government and public to control water pollution.
Festival and Celebrations
Students of grades III celebrated the Ganesha Chathurthi festival with a lot of fervour. The stories behind the celebration was depicted through a Villupaatu, dance, Reader theatre and songs. The students spoke about the pollution caused by painted plaster of Paris Ganeshas and spoke about using Clay Ganesha. The parents of grade III made their own Ganeshas at school after the programme.
As a part of our drive towards safety on road, Parents teachers and students took a pledge to follow road rules. Stickers were distributed to all. Held on 31/8/2019.
This is annual activity across school wherein teachers, parents and students make clay Ganeshas just before the festival. The importance of using clay as a part of our eco friendly drive was reiterated through enthusiastic participation
Visit to Thorapalli
The students of grade X went to visit the birth place of Rajaji and got first hand information from the exhibits on the freedom Movement.
Boot Camp session on problem solving was conducted for all teachers on 12/6/19. Teachers took up common issues in school/local environment and found solutions. They presented the issues and their solutions. They also used the app Solve Ninja to escalate issues.
15 Students of grade VI and VII were given an opportunity to participate in the photography workshop to learn the technical skills required to bring photograph to life and become aware of all the latest developments in technology as well as lenses that help people to capture high quality photographs
Tholapavakoothu (shadow puppetry from Kerala) was presented by Shri Rama Pulavar and team organized by SPICMACAY. Students of Grade VIII also performed. Parents were invited to watch the same on 12-7-2019.

TVSA SA RI GA MA
Training of TVSA SA RE GA MA junior and senior choir. The facilitators from MYC-Chennai were here on 8/8/2019 & 9/8/2019 to enhance the skills of the group. They learnt new songs and practised the songs that were already learnt.
